Job Description

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the HR department and organization by performing a wide range of administrative, operational, and employee-facing duties. This role ensures the accuracy of employee data, compliance with policies and regulations, and the smooth execution of HR processes, while serving as a key point of contact for employees and stakeholders.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including set up in ADP WorkforceNow, welcome communications, and training registrations. Meet with new hires to process I-9 documents and troubleshoot onboarding issues and organize headshots for new employees (online and in person).
  • Prepare and distribute monthly HR newsletters to Area Managers and Department Heads.
  • Coordinate the performance review process for all employees.
  • Schedule and ensure compliance with anti-harassment training for all employees.
  • Distribute updated labor law posters to all offices and jobsites.
  • Track and distribute milestone employee anniversary awards.
  • Manage employee referral program and ensure payment for referrals.

HR Administration & Data Management

  • Maintain and update employee data in HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow) and ERP system (Deltek); generate reports and ensure data accuracy, including digital employee personnel files. Assist in data collection and analysis.
  • Administer HR policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with company objectives and legal requirements, including statutory compliance reporting, such as Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Maintain and enhance HR Portal pages and employee communications via SharePoint.
  • Respond to HR inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, escalating as needed.
  • Collaborate with Payroll for timely and accurate processing of employee data and transactions.

Employee Support & Office Operations

  • Compose, edit, and prepare correspondence.
  • Provide employment verification for current and previous employees.
  • Assist with New Employee Orientation (NEO) meetings.

Special Projects & Additional Duties

  • Partner with HR team on process improvements, policy development, and company-wide initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Human resources, business administration, or equivalent area of study.  2+ years of experience in human resources, business administration or related position or combined internships.
    • Or, A.A. Degree and 3 years of HR-related experience or
    • Or, Non-Degree holders with HS diploma/GED and 4 years of HR-related experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proactive problem-solving; able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Analytical thinking and ability to break down problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changes.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focus and results orientation.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $60,000-$65,000.
