The Project Engineer reports to the Project Director and Construction Manager, or assigned project leadership. Provides assistance to facilitate the construction management team and document control in an occupied jail project. Provide support for the project team, document control, and assist with construction management activities, observations and reporting. This position will observe construction in the field and will be responsible for compiling project data into regularly issued project reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent technical area of study.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work positively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities in a fast-paced field office setting.
Knowledge of the general application of construction estimating, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and construction practices.
Understanding of contracts, documents, drawings and specifications.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office (Office 365); and experience with project-related Construction Management systems such as Procore are required.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $87,500 - $95,000.
