Job Description

Vanir is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join the team in Sacramento, California. This position will oversee the development and maintenance of finance policy, procedure, and operation for Vanir's Development and Property Management Group. As a motivated team leader with deep technical accounting knowledge, you will manage a team of 3 members.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages internal controls for financial and accounting transactions within a multi-unit organization, including Consolidations and Inter-company transactions.
  • Review and Manage Property Leases for Retail and Office Properties
  • Create Operating, Deferred maintenance, and Capital Improvement Budgets
  • Calculate and reconcile annual CAMs
  • Review and approve account transactions and account reconciliations.
  • Continued focus on improving accounting process efficiencies by applying best practices and establishing internal controls
  • The ability to proficiently perform professional-level accounting analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Manage Cash Flows from multiple bank accounts
  • Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and foster a consistently fun, supportive, and positive work environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA preferred
  • Industry knowledge of Real Estate Development and Property Management in a retail and office space is required.
  • Detailed oriented with deep technical accounting knowledge i.e GAAP
  • 7 years relevant experience in managing, mentoring, and developing an effective team
  • Proven track record for improving processes and solving problems
  • System knowledge of MS Office Suite, Yardi Breeze, and Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, a plus

 

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $100,000.00-$110,000.00.
