Job Description

During all phases of a project, provides the planning, coordination, and direction for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines to ensure they meet the owner’s needs, specifications, cost, and schedule. Maintains management and project facilitation for the successful completion per compliance, contractual, owner, and Vanir requirements.


May supervise administrative and field staff. May serve through Pre-Design, Design, Procurement, Construction and Closeout phases.


Additional areas of focus will be test and balance, commissioning, and integration of building systems.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Obtains, maintains, and manages data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, contractors/subcontractors, or other projectrelated entities.
  • Ensures project closeout and documentation meets all contractual requirements for final project delivery to owner entities.
  • Ensures compliance to project requirements of contracts, design and construction management, project systems and delivery, and construction documents and specifications.
  • Develops project specific procedures, documentation, contract and related Design and Construction management systems for the project.
  • Manage project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures.
  • Coordinates, directs, and monitors activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities.
  • Provide management of project logistics, organization, systems, and resources.
  • Ensures project management plan and procedures manuals are developed in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Lead in project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses, and follow-up on actions items of all participants.
  • Primary contact and liaison for owner and principle partner entities for the contract, design, systems, procedures, and related deliverables.
  • Represent owner, Vanir and related parties in public forums and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required (Extensive relevant project management experience in place of education may be considered)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (written and orally).
  • K-12 project management experience is required
  • PE is required
  • Must have great analytical and communication skills
