    Job Description

    Vanir Construction Management, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Scheduler to join the team in Sacramento, California. The Assistant Scheduler will be instrumental in integrating best practices and project deliverables while interfacing with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Contractors to monitor and update schedule and cost resources. As the Assistant Scheduler, this individual will be responsible for performing highly complex construction scheduling activities and will provide technical direction to the scheduling staff engaged in planning, scheduling, monitoring, progress analysis and reporting. 


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review and analyze schedule
    • Organize and attend weekly meetings
    • Input dates into Master Schedule
    • Create 90 Day look ahead
    • Coordinate final distribution of Master Schedule
    • Create Post Occupancy Evaluation report
    • Assist with FRAME Project Controls DashBoards
    • Facilitate write-up and timeline with the construction manager, general contractor, and appropriate project team members
    • Manage Milestone Adjustment in P6 and all Project Documents
    • Other duties as assigned by project leadership

    Minimum Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related degree is required
    • Experience in Program Scheduling, preferably in public works projects, is preferred but not required
    • Develop and maintain program schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for various programs.
    • Understanding of comprehensive analysis skills including resource loading, cost loading, analyses of change orders, time extension requests and schedule impact analyses.
    • Must be able to manage manage the program schedule and update process while collaborating with internal and external clients.
    • Strong communication, presentation, writing, and computer skills are essential.
    • Proficiency in Primavera Project Management (5.0 or 6.1), Primavera Project Planner(P3) and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
    • Experience in using SQL to retrieve data from various data sets is also preferred.
