    Job Description

    Vanir Development Company is currently looking for a Property Accountant at our corporate offices in Sacramento, CA. This position will assist the with day-to-day and period-end finance department operations for multiple entities.



    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Journal entries
    • Account reconciliations
    • Financial statement preparation
    • Assist with preparation of bank reporting
    • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements including elimination entries
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes to increase timeliness, efficiency, and improve the accuracy of financial reporting


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 3+ years of accounting experience
    • Experience with Property Accounting is preferred
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
    • Ability to take ownership and drive projects/issues to completion
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills
