    Job Description

    The Project Manager will assist Program Manager in providing support for the Capital Program for design and construction of new courthouses and facility modifications projects at existing courthouses across the California state. Program Management Support Services will include services to standardize procedures for planning and execution of work, develop new Project Procedures and Processes as necessary, and support development and management of SharePoint portal for project and program reporting. Assisting the owner and CMA for active projects to ensure compliance with program requirements. May supervise office/field administrative staff, project/field engineers, assistant project/construction managers, and other assigned staff.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist Program Manager as the primary contact and liaison for owner and principle partner entities for the contract, design, systems, procedures and related deliverables. 
    • Assist with developing Program Management Plan, Project Management plan and responsibility matrix. Develop and produce monthly Capital Program Progress Report, change order report, budget management and cost control report, quality management report, and other administrative support as needed.
    • Monitor and coordinate performance and training of SharePoint consultant in developing and maintaining SharePoint portal which is a web-based collaboration tool for the Capital Program
    • Develop Evaluate and revise current procedures, and develop new project procedures and processes as necessary
    • Leads in program and project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses
    • Evaluate designer, contractor, and specialty consultant proposals as it relates to Program Management scope including change orders and requests to perform additional services
    • Formulate solutions, tactics and strategies to ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, performance requirements and contracts
    • Functional knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with program requirements
    • Obtains, maintains, and manages data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, and other project-related entities
    • Represents owner, project and related parties in public forums and meetings
    • Manages project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, organization, systems and project closeout
    • May coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required. 
    • 7+ years of overall experience in Program Management and Project Management is required.
    • Proficiency with various document control systems such as SharePoint, Unifier or similar is strongly desired
    • Experience with CM at Risk delivery method is strongly desired
    • Program Controls experience on a large program is strongly preferred
    • Knowledge and application of master planning, consultant selection, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods are required
    • Current Certification as CCM or PMP or the ability to achieve soon is preferred
