Job Description

This position will report to the Area Manager and will provides the onsite Project Management / Construction Management and Project Controls team lead responsibilities activities for delivery of a $100M+ Emergency Security Operations Center for our client in downtown Los Angeles, CA. The facility will be approximately four stories tall and 80,000 square feet in size. It will be a secured facility for authorized personnel only and not open to the public. This will be a central location of a recognized LA public sector entity’s security operations, radio dispatch, and emergency coordination. The Senior Project Manager will lead the project team and liaise with the client and other governmental agencies as well as be responsible for delivering the project in on-budget, on-schedule, safely, and meeting company profitability objectives.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Responsible as onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of construction
  • Coordinates, directs, and monitors activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities
  • Manages project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures or as required by the client
  • Conducts project meetings and provides meeting minutes, documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information
  • Ensures contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment
  • Provides management of project logistics, organization and safety
  • Ensures project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for turnover to the owner
  • Performs other duties as required to ensure project success

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an onsite Project Manager is required
  • Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Certified Construction Manager is required
  • Demonstrated management experience in successfully delivering $100M+ projects, including projects with redundant MEP systems, low-voltage security systems, emergency telecommunications systems is required
  • Experienced in Design-Build delivery is required
  • Experienced in projects obtaining LEED Gold certification a preferred
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are preferred
