Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator works directly with the Marketing Manager and Project Executives to produce proposals, qualifications, presentation materials and other marketing collateral assignments. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for producing proposals, qualifications, presentations and marketing collateral. Our ideal candidate is flexible, strategic, and collaborative. They provide a high level of service, can think big picture while also being attentive to details, and can lean on their experience to contribute to the written content of Vanir’s proposals beyond aesthetics. This position is based in Vanir’s corporate office in Sacramento, CA.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the proposal process from initial kick-off though production and interview stage. 
  • Establish proposal deadlines by setting priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; coordinating requirements with pursuit team; contributing proposal status information in review meetings.
  • Draft, edit, organize, and proof various marketing collateral, including proposal content, project summaries, resumes, brochures, and presentations to ensure content is comprehensive, competitive, and client-specific.
  • Research clients, market trends, upcoming projects, and background information.
  • Maintain databases and online marketing library including photos, resumes, and marketing collateral.
  • Ensure all materials are in alignment with the Vanir brand.
  • Perform quality control on proposals and other materials.
  • Provide support to client debriefs for pursuit wins and losses.
  • Assist the marketing department with special assignments, as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, English, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is required.
  • 4+ years of marketing experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) Industry.
  • Knowledge of client development and the proposal lifecycle process is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of formatting, proofreading, and editing copy is imperative. 
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and MS Office Suite is required.
  • Strong and effective communication and writing are essential.
  • Proficient in using Cosential or similar CRM software is required.
  • Experience with Federal forms, such as SF330.
  • Creativity and ability to work well in a team environment is essential.
