Job Description

 

The position will integrate and work collaboratively with owner’s representative’s team to maintain a web based document control system, and assist in project controls as it relates changes in design, request for information, meetings minutes and other duties as requested by Vanir’s project lead. This first assignment is in Pocatello Idaho and will run for approximately 9-months.

 

Duties and Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure that the web base document control system updated and reports are being provided in a timely manner
  • Create monthly reports with information from the web base document control system and project team input
  • Review, analysis and oversight of monthly cost reports and monthly progress reports
  • Assist in evaluating contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget/timetable
  • Assist in reviewing invoices for compliance and proper coding in accordance with encumbrances
  • Take meeting minutes and develop the meeting for review and publication
  • Review task order requests, change orders and amendments to ensure budget availability, accurate cost coding and reporting
  • Interact with various technical discipline leads to understand and communicate issues and conflicts that may impact the budget
  • Ensure implementation of client policies, procedures and plans regarding cost management of capital projects with multiple funding sources
  • Other job-related duties or projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred
  • 5 or more years of recent professional experience in project controls on a construction program is preferred
  • Experience with web based project management system implementation and data migration is required
  • Ability to take initiative and create value-added solutions to integrate best practices with project controls deliverables is required
  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken is required
  • Experience utilizing SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and web based programs is preferred
